On December 19, 2020, FRA held the 2020 annual celebration party in the Osmanthus Hall of Brother Hotel. This is the second annual meeting of FRA. The guests include Former Secretary-General of the National Security Council, Chairman of Taiwan Asia-Pacific Development Foundation Kang Ningxiang, former Ambassador to the EU Ambassador Gao Yingmao, Mayor of Tainan, Dr. Zhang Canda, former Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Committee Zhang Fu, American Policy Advisor, Vice President Lai Qingde Office Director Chen Wenbin, former Sendai Mayor Professor Katsuhiko Umehara, well-known political commentator Fan Chou, Taipei City Councilor Wang Shijian, former legislator Chen Manli, Taiwan Union Party chairman Liu Yide, former legislator Zhou Ni'an and legislator, Dr. Qiu Taiyuan, who led all members of the National Federation of Medical Associations.

After a brief speech by the chairman of the board, Dr. Tommy Y. Lin, the son of Ambassador Yang, Welly Yang, with his wife Dina Morishita, both Broadway stars, sang for Taiwan. Welly Yang first brought a song "Anthem" to Taiwan, the majestic singing voice fully expressed the Taiwanese's ardent desire for the country, followed by Dina with Eboning's famous song "On My Own" from "Les Miserables" moved the audience with her poignant and moving voice. In the end, the couple sang the Taiwanese song "Mother's Name is Taiwan", which made the audience's atmosphere rise to the highest point.

Afterwards, the keynote speaker of the annual meeting, former Secretary-General of the National Security Council, Secretary-General of the Presidential Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Chairman of the Vision Foundation Chen Tangshan gave his speech. Minister Chen said modestly at first, jokingly saying that he should not speak in front of all the experts among guests of FRA. Minister Chen's introduction also testified that the annual meeting of the FRA were full of elites.

Just as Dr. Tommy Y. Lin, the chairman of the board, said in his speech, FRA is a small group of people who do a lot of things. It is precisely because of this that in the second year of hard work, so many guests from all walks of life showed up to support and praise, and its influence increased day by day.

Founder of Taiwan Innovative Space Inc. Dr. Yen-Sen Chen, is a member of FRA. Dr. Chen invited FRA to visit his rocket company.

Dr. Chen served in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the United States and the National Space Center. During his time in the United States, he was responsible for solving problems such as rocket engine vibration, making Dr. Chen the only practical person in Taiwan who understands the aerospace manufacturing and testing process.

Dr. Chen explained the vision of Taiwan Innovative Space, pointed out that the development of space technology is entering the era of privatization. The United States, led by SpaceX founded by Elon Musk, is developing the Starlink near-Earth satellite network, and other companies such as Amazon founder Bezos' blue Origin, all with similar plans.

The total number of satellites in the near-Earth satellite network is quite large. After five years of launch, they will gradually need to be replaced and become a stable and huge business opportunity. Taiwan Innovative Space developing rockets to launch satellites is not to compete with SpaceX, but to become its partners, replacing satellites for space exploration with more cost-effective rockets.

In the past, rockets were mainly categorized into two types: liquid fuel rockets and solid fuel rockets. The former has the advantage of high efficiency, but it is expensive, and there is still risk of explosion if it accidentally burns through the liquid fuel tank; the latter has a lower cost, but the risk of accidental explosion is high.

Taiwan Innovative Space uses mixed fuel, which has the highest safety, so personnel do not need to avoid it, further saving costs, and the launch efficiency is only slightly inferior to liquid rockets. The designed launch height is just within the orbital range of the near-Earth satellite network, which can grasp business opportunities.

FRA fully supports Taiwan Innovative Space, and is honored to have this outstanding member.

The founder of FRA, Consultant of Executive Yuan of Taiwan, Consultant of Taiwan External Trade Development Council, Elder Robert Lee of the Taifu Church in Southern America, rested in the arms of the Lord on September 14 this year. On the morning of October 29th, FRA held a memorial service for Elder Lee at the Grand Chapel of the Taiwan Presbyterian Church in Jinan. We recalled Elder Lee's lifelong dedication to Taiwan's democracy movement. More than 100 relatives and friends from all walks of life attended the memorial service.

Elder Lee's long-time political friends, president of the Legislative Yuan You Si-kun, former Defense Minister Michael Tsain, Tainan Mayor George Chang, Chairman of the Business Research Institute Hsu Tain-tsair, and Vice Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Committee Xu Jiaqing attended the memorial service. President Tsai Ing-wen, President of the Executive Su Tseng-chang and others also mourned with flower baskets.

President of the Legislative Yuan You Si-kun, attended the memorial service in person, and took the stage during the service to remember his deceased. He especially mentioned Elder Lee's encouragement and support for him, and emphasized that Elder Lee was an innovative, infinitely enthusiastic, and devoted Taiwanese with faith.

Dr. Lin, chairman of FRA, also shared the process of the establishment of FRA during the memorial service. He pointed out that Elder Lee believed that Taiwan needed to establish an organization that promotes the spirit of Christ, so he began to actively implement it and advocated the establishment of FRA., The enthusiastic Elder Lee persuaded him and many of his friends to gather strength together, and finally established FRA in December 2018. Now the meeting is thriving, and it is an important asset left by Elder Lee to Taiwan.

Elder Lee once put forward the "two-state theory" before his death. It does not refer to one country on either side of the Taiwan Strait. The two countries refer to the country of Taiwan and the kingdom of God. He hoped that Taiwan can become a country that embraces the spirit of Christ and joins the ranks of advanced countries in the world. Although not all Taiwanese believe in Christianity, regardless of their religious beliefs, they must agree that Taiwan needs to join the ranks of Western scientific civilization with a spirit of sincerity, honesty, diligence, and seeking truth from facts.

Elder Lee had close interactions with former President Lee Teng-hui during his lifetime. Both of them made considerable contributions to Taiwan. Now they have passed away one after another.but their achievements will continue to be carried forward by future generations.

Former President Lee Teng-hui passed away on the evening of July 30, 2020 at the age of 98. Mr. Lee Teng-hui became president during the autocratic era, but single-handedly planned the democratization process of Taiwan, completed the first political party rotation, and handed over the power to the the opposition party,thus opened the era of democracy in Taiwan, known as the "Quiet Revolution", such a democratic miracle will be remembered in human history, and it is Mr. Lee Teng-hui's greatest gift to all Taiwanese.

FRA had a far-reaching relationship with Mr. Lee Teng-hui. Mr. Lee Teng-hui is very excited about the FRA's ambition to establish a communication channel between Taiwanese people and American conservative value organizations. He believed that Taiwan does need to be more closely connected with American conservatives. The blessing, strong support, guidance and encouragement of Mr. Lee Teng-hui are important factors for the establishment of FRA.

Now that the FRA has been established and gradually on track, Mr. Lee Teng-hui passed away with a high longevity and rested in peace. The members of the FRA expressed their gratitude to President Lee Teng-hui for his contribution to Taiwan's democracy and his earnest teachings to the FRA. The chairman of the board, Dr. Lin led the members of the FRA to pray for Mr. Lee Teng-hui and Taiwan, and on behalf of the FRA, he left a tribute to Mr. Lee Teng-hui:

"Return to heaven, the father of democracy in Taiwan."

FRA held a one-day tour of central Taiwan, going to Taichung and Changhua。

We visited the ancestral house of Chairman Lin. Chairman Lin was born in the Wufeng Lin family, a well-known family in Taiwan. FRA members visited the Wufeng Lin family Yipu, felt the family history of a hundred years, thought of the ancient times, and boarded the Yipu Guild Hall Overlooking the panorama of Wufeng Lin's house.

Afterwards, we went to visit G&G Armament, which is run by FRA Excutive Director James Liao. G&G Armament is a world-renowned manufacturer of simulation guns for survival game equipment. The products are loved by survival gamers around the world, and hold the CQB World Cup extreme shooting sports.

In the evening, we went to "Pure Garden" in Zhenliao Village, Xizhou Township, Changhua County, where we were received by famous poet of Taiwan, Mr. Wu Sheng and his and daughter Wu Yinning. We listened to a briefing on the development of organic agriculture by local small farmers.
